Somewhere Near Vada - a show of international artists and the moving image, curated by artist Jaki Irvine, the inaugural exhibition introducing the new building to the public for the first time. The exhibition took the public into all the rooms and spaces of the building prior to the final fit out and furnishing of the gallery, performance, services, back stage, and administration areas. The artists were James Coleman, Adam Chodzko, Anneke de Boer, Marcel Broodthaers, Tacita Dean, Fischli & Weiss, Bas Jan Ader, Gary Hill and Zoe Walker & Laura Cottingham, Catalogue, 12 Jun - 16 Jul, 2000. TV Project screening of Craig Baldwin’s Spectres of the Spectrum and Project Press book launch of the The Glass Eye: artists and television, 2 Dec, 2000. The completed TV Project programme was produced independently at other locations.

In 2009, documents and print artefacts from the the Project Arts Centre archives were donated to the National Library of Ireland. The Project Arts Centre Papers, Collection List No 152, was prepared by Barry Houlihan, assisted by Máire Ní Chonalláin and Luke Kirwan. It includes materials associated with the Exhibitions programme.
